On the Moraga/Orinda line, Mulholland Ridge Open Space Preserve is a 260-acre park atop Donald Road. Spectacular views of the valley and Mount Diablo are provided in the park. The Hacienda de las Flores Park in Moraga and the Orinda trail network are linked to the Ridge trails.
Dogs on the paved section of the Mulholland Ridge Trail are allowed off-leash.
Off-Leash Hours & Locations:
In Mulholland Open Space Preserve, animals that are under the supervision of a human are allowed without a leash on the paved portion of Donald Drive.
Trails Challenge Information
Hit the Trails! The Lamorinda Trails Challenge invites you to discover and do something positive for your body and mind on your local trails. The Trails Challenge is free, built for all ages and fitness levels, and is a program to complete on your own schedule that is self-guided. For this thrilling challenge scheduled for May 1 through October 31, 2020, join your friends and neighbors.
There are two ways to complete the challenge:
- Establish Healthy Habits - take 6 hikes on Lamorinda Trails
- Complete the Objectives - complete five of the eight objectives listed
Free Trail Challenge t-shirts will not be available until after the end of the COVID-19 closures.

The town utilizes a variety of volunteers and court-appointed personnel to provide basic services as a limited-service municipality. The city also manages all the properties owned by the city, including:

- Moraga Library (operated by Contra Costa County)
